At C. P. Hood Mechanical & Electrical, health & safety is our absolute number 1 priority.
All of our site operatives hold a minimum CSCS status with the majority IPAF, PASMA, IOSH and NEBOSH trained. We do not hesitate to enrol our site operatives on to relevant training courses that may arise from our site and task specific risk assessment and method statements. We regularly review our RAMS and benefit from the support of our external partner Brian Smithwick who acts on our behalf as overall group Health & Safety Manager.
Brian has acted for some of the larger contractors and whilst he has a good working relationship with the site team, he would not hesitate to issue any improvement notices or immediately stop work if this could in any way impact on the health & safety of them or others.
Brian randomly attends our sites (at our request) and issues the management team a thorough report upon completion.
We are always looking at ways to work in a safer environment and regularly attend H&S seminars and keep up to date with the recently changed Principle Designer role which we offer more regularly to our Clients.
Our management team are either SSSTS or SMSTS accredited.
